Cheri Cross is a graduate of SUNY
Plattsburgh and has been an artist and professional studio potter since
the 1970's. Widely known for her hand painted porcelains.
Cheri's work is in the functional pottery tradition of the twentieth
century that has grown popular since its resurgence under William
Morris. Floral designs, Adirondack themes and pinecone motifs have
been the focus of Cheri's recent work.
In the
past twenty years Cheri has shown and sold her work through both craft
shows and galleries throughout the United States. Currently, Cheri
is a community activist, mother of town, and advocate for art in the
schools. Traveling less often today, the largest selection of her
work is available year round at the Jay
Craft Center. |
