I have a kick wheel with a motor
attachment for alternative use as a powered wheel, The rubber
bushing at the end of the drive shaft of the electric motor that
engages the fly wheel wore down and became brittle and
needed replacement. Being an ancient wheel (1968 Quagmire)
no longer manufactured, finding a replacement part was impossible, as
it would be with the Randall and similar hybrid electric wheels.
I found a California company that will custom
manufacture a rubber bushing at a very reasonable price.
Because of the method of manufacture, the cost of three pieces is the
same as one. I bought three bushings about 6 months ago for
$50. One can either send the old bushing to the company or
e-mail dimensions. There is a turn around time of about two
weeks on the order.
